This boy originally came to us as a special care patient. His human noticed he was unwell, but had a broken arm and wasn't able to help him.
When he arrived we soon noticed he had an ear infection and a great big plug in his ear. It was removed by our vet, Dr Sharon Evans at Chicken Clinic with a flush and some manual removal. He then continued on an antibiotic ear ointment for 2 weeks until he was returned to his human.
Whilst he was here, he also had his spurs trimmed and received daily foot soaks to relieve his post-mite infection legs.
Sadly, a couple of months later, he returned to us, this time indefinitely and with 3 ladies... His flock had been attacked by predators and they all needed to be rehomed for their safety. He had been reinfected by leg mites and his ear infection had returned... this time in both ears!
Despite this poor boy having had so many ailments, he's a sweet and gentle chap who just wants to be loved!
